more than a third of police found a woman 52 stanford students have fallen ill since wednesday night likely with the noro virus. the students living in florence moore hall reported feeling symptoms similar to stomach flu.

as a precaution, stanford is sanitizing the dining hall over the next two days. all common areas and bathrooms in the dormitory will also undergo a thorough cleaning. the county health department sent a nurse and viral specialist to the dormitory have caused the outbreak. an update now to a story we first brought you yesterday morning. antioch police say two dogs that bit four people are pit bull mixes whose owners have not been identified. the dogs who were off leash bit a man, his dogs and three neighbors wednesday night on larkspur drive. none of the injuries were life threatening. police shot and killed one of the dogs when it charged at the officers. the other dog was captured and is in quarantine. if the dog goes unclaimed for 10 days, it will be euthanized.

the investigation into an east bay nursing home is expanding. this is after more than a dozen patients were allegedly abandoned by most of the staff. questions are now beginning to surface regarding the conditions that led to the facility being shut down by the state.. a former employee asked us not to reveal her identity but shared what she saw while she was on the job the former valley manor employee says she only worked at the home in castro valley for 4-days in september she says that's all she could take - because of the poor working conditions. federal education officials are renewing a threat to withhold funds from california if they go through with the plan to abandon standardized tests. but u -s department of education officials say that if they do.they could lose more than three billion dollars in federal aid. federal officials support the computerized tests that
